that country, says Atlantic Council analyst Danya Greenfield. Yemen’s
decline, marked yesterday as Shiite tribesmen besieged the presidential
offices, has given new room for growth to the Yemen-based Islamist
militant group al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).
